Fun and Fright on Halloween Night

The kids had a great time on Halloween night. James really got into it. If the people were letting the kids pick their own he always picked at least two. It was so cute. Emma would ring the doorbell and James would stand there knocking until they answered. Emma still had trouble going to houses that had skeletons or scary stuff on the porch. It took awhile for her to accept candy from our neighbor who had a lifesize Frankenstein that talked and sang on her porch. James had no problem. At Emma's primary teachers house they had a bowl with a monster on it that moves when you put your had in well Emma wasn't going anywhere near it already and when James reached out his hand Emma jumped back and almost didn't accept any candy even from the non-scary bowl. So fun. This was my favorite house because they were frying up egg rolls in their driveway for all the adults who came by.

Well by the end of our street James started to lag behind and his pumpkin was getting heavy so we called it a night. Emma too which really surprised me but 45 minutes later she was ready to go out again. She just needed a breather I guess. A great Halloween but there is too much candy in the house for a Mom who is trying to be good. I'm going to see if I can use it to bribe Emma to stop sucking her thumb!

Enjoying a treat and toy from Grandma and Grandpa Van Bibber

The cutest witch and Darth Vader ever!
Once again we needed a sucker for a distraction.

Quinn even got in on the fun this year.

AHHHH - I can't get this picture to load the right way. But it was so cute of my three trick-or-treaters and the night was just perfect.

Checking out just half of her loot!
