Aw, that ain't cool. That happened to me in the Winegar's parking lot in High School, to my SWEET BUICK LIMITED, no less. Sorry - that sucks!

Was it Your shopping cart? I actually saw a lady shove her cart as hard as she could from the back of a parking lot to the front of the store just as someone was pulling out of a stall, it smacked into the car, and I left just before confrontation. Whew, I'm sure there was swearing involved in that conversation, not just "you stink".

Mary -- don't you mean "The Gill Mobile?" Please refer to it as such in all future communiques.

Bryn -- It wasn't my shopping cart, because I am a guy and therefore always assume that I can fit all my groceries in my two hands. Actually, I didn't even realize that the cart was resting against my car until I pulled out of the parking stall and the cart began to roll down the hill and hit the next car in line. Don't worry, though, I watched the whole thing and the cart's bottom hit the car's tire before the cart's top could damage anything. I, however, was not so lucky.

Our stake president a few years ago told us to stop using the word "suck" for anything other than a baby sucking on a pacifier. Hence "you stink" has become one of the harshest phrases at my disposal.

Undoubtedly it was some punk high schooler pushing a cart with the bumper of his car and then swerving quickly to send the cart on its destructive course. All the while, the teen's friends cheer him on. (Food 4 Less, 1996-ish?) Those kids are the suckiest bunch of suckers that ever sucked.

Garrett -- Believe me, that was the first thing that crossed my mind when it happened. And, for the record, it was the very same Smith's parking lot where the 1996-ish incident happened. It's just too darn slopey of a parking lot to handle wheeled carts safely. So I do think this was a case of delayed karma.

Which reminds me ... I'm still waiting for a Jeep full of punk kids on a back road somewhere to spray my car with mud as they pass by...

That totally stinks -- or "draws water through a straw" as I used to say when forbidden to use the word "suck."
