Warning Overload of Pictures!!
Well we survived our first week long vacation in California with a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old baby. The kids were really good overall. James just lived most of the time in the stroller and was such a happy baby except now I have to brake him of the habit of being put to sleep by movement. Emma was short on sleep the whole week and still was really good considering she went to bed late, got up early and didn't really get a good nap in any days.
We flew to California last Sunday. Let me just say we never would have made it through the airport with the help of Quinn's parents. We just didn't have enough hands for two big suitcases, two car seats and a double stroller. Here is Emma on the plane. She did great, she was very content to just watch cartoons the whole way there even without the sound because she refused to wear her headphones. James pretty much slept the entire way. James sporting his new Disney attire.
Ready to go the next morning bright and early. As I have posted before Emma is not a morning person so she struggled with getting up early and getting ready. I don't know that she ate breakfast once while we were there, but she hardly eats breakfast at home as well.
Here she is with the some of her cousins exploring Tarzan's Treehouse. She is much to excited to be out of the stroller to stand still for a picture.
We were not sure how Emma was going to react to the characters but she went right up to Pluto and gave him a hug. So cute.
Not the case with Buzz Lightyear. She would not get any closer to him.
The California Adventure park has this great water area that Emma just absolutely loved. We had a hard time getting her out of it. This is how we left her with Grandma and Grandpa while we went to ride the Tower of Terror.
This is how we found her! Too much fun.
Having fun with Dad on the Buzz Lightyear ride. She did manage to get some points but Quinn doesn't know how because she really was not aiming at anything during the ride. Lucky shot I guess.
Emma loved the rides. We would have to drag her off of them when our turn was up.
Our cute good little baby chillin' in the stroller.
We were very lucky to be able to either walk on or have short lines for the kids rides in the morning. The Tea Cups was one of Emma's favorites.
Another favorite and one we rode a few times was the Monsters Inc. ride. Here they are in front of Boo's door.
We also had to stop and say hi to Mater and Lighting McQueen.
Donald!
What cute Grandparents!
She won't stand alone with any of the characters but still enjoys them to a point.
Finally a little nap in the stroller. One of few.
We're Here!!
Another favorite ride that we had to pry her out of when it was over.
Cinderella!
Snow White!
Sleeping Beauty!
Emma really wanted to see the Princesses but would not go up alone.
Emma was probably the only one to enjoy the Small World ride. I know I was sick of that song by the end and so was James. It was very loud in there. James actually got to ride quite a few rides with us. I was able to take him on most of the fantasy land rides and a few others through out the park as well such as Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story, Monster's Inc., Finding Nemo to name a few. Yes Emma rode Pirates as well as the Haunted Mansion. We dragged her on any ride she was able to go on. She did great. She never cried. She would only grip our leg or hand tight when the boat would go down the ramps. We also dragged her on the Matterhorn rollercoaster. She was just tall enough. She did great. This was good age. If was had waited and gone next year she would not have ridden as much. Right now she doesn't really know what being scared is.
Gotta love Toon Town.
We did see both Mickey and Minnie but Quinn's brother took our Mickey picture so more to come when we get copies of his pictures.
We couldn't leave with out a picture with the Winnie the Pooh characters.
Totally enthralled in the Winnie the Pooh ride.
James is all smiles now!
Playing in the water again and loving it.
Emma got some Minnie Mouse ears which she picked out but refused to look at the camera.

Whew and that is just our tree days at Disneyland. We also spent a day at the San Diego Zoo and Sea World.
