Here is a good before picture of just how long it was getting on top and didn't really look good unless it was combed to the side but then once it dried it never stayed. it was also getting shaggy in the back and on the sides. So it was time of a cut. I had no idea what to do and didn't want to pay for one so I headed to my friend Brooke's house. She has three boys and a husband and she cuts all of their hair. She was so nice to show me what to do so hopefully I can do it next time. I think it looks pretty good and he didn't even cry. She was amazing though and very patient as he moved around a little.
