A broken arm

Last Friday Emma fell off the monkey bars at the park. She landed really hard on her left side. When she still refused to move her wrist or spread her fingers on her left hand an hour and half later we headed to the doctors. I really didn't think it was broken but the Doctor sent us for an x-ray. Emma was so brave during all this that she got to go out for icecream afterward. Later that day the Doctor called and said not only is it broken but she broke both bones in her forearm near the wrist. She had to wear a splint the whole weekend until the swelling went down but today she got her cast. She picked her favorite color, pink. She can't get enough pink. Good thing it's waterproof otherwise our July would be very boring. She can get the cast off in 3 weeks though so it's not too long. Here she is proudly showing off her handy work.

LOVING THE PINK! :) I remember having to wear a cast for weeks on end when I was little, but mine was plain, ugly, boring WHITE! Lucky girl gets color!
I heard it the wrong arm though for the thumb sucking :( Tell the doc's to put a matching one on the other side when you go back to have that one taken off ;) haha (I'm sure she'll loooove that! jk)
