Quinn's Salute to New Moon

I've been collecting these for awhile now...

Go ahead and send your hate e-mail. I feed on it....like a vampire sucking blood through his fangs. Oh, wait. Fangs is just another convenient vampire fact that Twilight conveniently forgets...

Boom city!!!! Finally someone who remembers the good old days when vampires were actually heartless, cold, blood suckers they're known for! Even the real Dracula (the dude vampires are based from) was a heartless beast who would slay innocent people and then stake their heads outside of his castle to warn others of his lack of mercy.
Vampires freaking burn in the sun! Not sparkle! You want a good, recent portrayal of vampires? Go watch Van Helsing! Thats a vampire!

Quinn,
Don't even get me started!!!!! You haven't read the books, you're not a girl you just don't understand!!!!!
Everyone has their own view of vampires.
I don't see anyone talking this much crap on Lord of the Rings elves!!!! Elves aren't tall long haired very hot blondes that can shoot orcs are they? No they are short little things that help santa make toys!
So Stephanie Meyer just had a different view of Vampires! I (and many millions of other girls) happen to agree with her version of vampires!!!

I happen to like Twilight books. But I might have enjoyed this post even more. I will consider the ramifications of this over the next several days.

Bram Stoker, having compiled vampire lore into a definitive novel, could barely keep all the vampire "rules" straight (though "sparkling" never came up). Because of the Victorian writing, even his Dracula came across as being kind of a sissy. And Van Helsing, by extension, didn't seem so tough.

That said, I'll accept new vampire interpretations. The Twilight version and the version in your salute have equal merit. The Lost Boys vampires are awesome, though.

As your wife - don't I get some say on what is posted on our blog. There should be a way for me to block this post! Oh well - still very funny, especially the Count from Seseame Street. Do me a favor though - give New Moon a chance once it comes out on DVD. Humor me just a little. - Lauralee

New Moon was better than Twilight, no weird cartoon running. I think everyone needs to watch it just to enjoy three scenes I like to call "Frolicking vampires in the forest," "Vampire floats," and "Edward needs to put his shirt back on cuz, yuck"
