Week 7 - At least the weather is nice!

Sunday - Was a relaxing day. The kids all had time to take a bath with one of their Easter bath bombs before we had home church. We are asking Emma and James to contribute something to our lesson from the Friend/New Era magazines or from the Primary Come Follow Me and to prepare it on their own if possible. They are doing great and it has fit in perfectly with what we are taking about that week.

They had fun acting out and coloring the story of Moses parting the Red Sea.

Mia gave me a drawing lesson on rainbows.

I went outside to be alone for a few minutes and read my book and pretty soon the kids all joined me.

Blowing bubbles.

It was game night - Cover Your Assets - and Mia kicked our butts.

Monday - The kids got a fun word search activity in the mail from Grandma Van Bibber with words all about them. But she made it really hard by only giving them the first letter of each word and the total number of letters. Today was also Great Grandpa Moore's graveside service and we were not allowed to attend. Only Grandma and her kids with their spouses. We are sad that he is gone but it was a great opportunity to talk with kids about the plan of salvation and how we will see him and all those we love again someday. That night we went for a bike ride with Grandma and Grandpa Van Bibber down on the parkway. It was a beautiful night.

Tuesday - The blue light blocking glasses finally came for the kids. Mia and James love wearing them. Not really sure if they do what they claim but I can hope. That night James really wanted to cook hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire pit. They were yummy but it was a bit too warm for a fire. We had to do it early because Emma had her first YW activity over zoom that evening. They played Scatagories.

Not begging just hoping!

Wednesday - Mia got a surprise visit from her primary teachers. They left her a heart attack on our front door. She loved it! It was finally warm enough that when the kids begged to get the pool out I said yes. It was a great incentive for them to get their school work quickly. They had a blast even though they filled it without rinsing all the dust out of it from a winter in the shed. The water looked pretty gross. Grandma Lavender came over for a visit and to watch the kids play for a bit. Poor Toby was dragged into the pool against his and my wishes. He did not enjoy it. The day ended on a high note for James. His Lego set came that he ordered with his own money. He had been waiting 2+ weeks. In case you can't tell it's a spaceship from the Avengers.

Thursday - We were super excited to see the flyover from HAFB but only caught a glimpse of the jets. Kind of a let down but the kids got over it quick as they went back to the pool and the slip-in-slide for the afternoon. Then Dad had some fun with them even though they knew the point of this trick they thought they could beat it.

Someone is getting distracted from her school work.

Waiting for the flyover with a cute unicorn.

They were up near the mountain and lower to the ground then I thought they'd be so we only got a short view in between the trees.

Friday was apparently very boring. This was the only picture I took and can't remember a single thing we did. I'm assuming I was just too tired to care and we all spent way too much time on devices and watching t.v. So that night it was game night!

Saturday - Quinn and I spent the day working in the yard and cleaning out the shed. It was hot! I assume the kids spent the day on electronics and few minutes playing legos. That night we got some take out with Grandma Lavender and headed to a park to eat. It was a very nice way to end the week.

This ship rescued a dragon!

Mia found the perfect stick again.

Playing catch and playing Catchphrase.
