James' Activities

James has suddenly become the busiest person in our house.  James decided to give the Robotics team a try this year and came back to Archery for a second time. I am loving that our school now offers extra programs like this thanks so our new Principal. One of the perks (and probably only perk) is being at the school and getting a chance to spy on your kids and see them do things you normally wouldn't get too. This morning I spied James helping to put up the flag. The principal has taught them the proper way and just lets the kids handle it now. I was also able to catch James at Archery one day. The 5th grade held an archery competition which we were only able to watch from home this year and the kids were not able to compete against any other schools. But for their final party the wildlife division brought in fun animals for they to aim at.

The robotics team were able to attend competitions in person and with one parent. James was on a team with his friends Ben and Corbin. They had to build their robot and then drive it to move around the area and place the colored platforms in certain ways to get points. They had a lot of fun. One team from Woods Cross even went on to the Worlds Competition.

James also tried his hand at Jr. Jazz Basketball for the first time and found out he loved it. It helped that he knew most of the kids on the team and his coach was great. Now that he knows what he needs to do and how to play we need to get him practicing.
