Week 14 - Lagoon

Monday after getting home from Bear Lake was spent doing laundry and putting everything away. We did play a game for family night and Emma recorded one of her piano recital songs to show at her YW activity on Tuesday.  The video is not the full song but of her just being funny. I'll wait and share her recitals songs from her actual recital in a few weeks to give her more time to perfect it. But enjoy Emma being silly.

Wednesday Emma and I got to have a date at Lagoon with one of her best friend Kate Drommond and her family. They had some extra tickets for a great price so we tagged along. Emma hadn't seen Kate since Feb. so they had a great time. Emma loves roller coasters which is awesome but didn't want to try the new ride, Cannibal just yet. It worried her that you are only strapped in at your waist and not the shoulders. I tried to tell her it is the same on Wicked which she loves but it was still a no. The rest of us loved it. Even the 7 year old who was just tall enough. He was really nervous and crying but they told him to just try it first. When we got off he was still crying but it was because we had to get off and couldn't go again. It was fun but man I am getting old and can not handle the spinning rides anymore. It was also the perfect weather day to go. Only a high of 65 and it started off overcast. When the sun came out and we were in the sun our masks got really hot. I can't imagine going to Lagoon in 90 degree weather and having to wear a mask. It was a bit cool and I wore my jacket most of the day but Emma, Kate and her brother Coen went on all the water rides and got soaked. They did admit that later in the shade they were cold. But they had a blast!
