Week 10 - School is over and day trip to Bear Lake

Sunday May 17th we had our home church. For part of our lesson we talked about how Heavenly Father help to make the people's burdens feel lighter. He didn't take them away but helped them endure them. So Mia is carrying heavy burdens in her backpack and James is helping to carry some of the load for her as she walks around. Then we did another activity where we took turns passing around a drawing of our face that we started but everyone else had to finish and write nice things about each person. After dinner we flew the kite in the church parking lot.

Mia climbed up to Quinn's shoulder angel just like Matt from Studio C.

Tuesday we got to do a drive through at the school with each of the kids teachers. We turned in devices, picked up work and notebooks left in the classrooms and said goodbye to their teachers. What a way to finish the school year. So glad its over. I kind of let the kid chill this week and we also made an agreement with two families that our kids would only play with each other and no one else. The kids are so happy to finally have some friend time.

 Goodbye to Mrs. Jensen

Goodbye to Mrs. Hyde

Goodbye to Mrs. Erickson and the team of 6th grade teachers.

Friend time with Ben - our backdoor neighbor.

Mia is loving getting together with her two best friends - Paisley and Scarlet Coulam.

Was able to get this Superman jump picture on the first try!

Saturday we drove up to Bear Lake to help did holes for pipe repairs and to put together the picnic tables. It had snowed overnight at the higher elevations. It was only forcasted to be in the high 40s or low 50s which was fine when we were digging but for lunch we needed a fire to stay warm. The kids had a blast helping a little and throwing the ball over and over for Uncle Taylor's dogs, Tonks and Minerva.
